Project Manager-Industrial Construction Division

Position Available: 
We are looking at future expansion of our industrial construction division.  To accomplish this, we'll need to add an experienced Project Manager for the North Canton, Ohio area to manage industrial construction/ industrial maintenance projects, perform budgetary and lump sum estimating, and to initiate and assist in the development of new business.  The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of five years experience in an industrial setting in a similar position facilitating construction and/or maintenance projects; hold a degree in Construction, Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering (beneficial but not mandatory); and have a desire to work in a leadership role managing both people and resources, problem-solving and leading projects from inception to completion.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all aspects of Projects from initial setup to closeout.
• Monitor job progress, schedule, and costs throughout the Project.
• Develop Project Schedules as required.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendents to develop a project site logistics plan and provide initial job setup and write-ups to the field.
• Monitor Project Labor and Equipment utilization.
• Lead the projects Quality and Safety processes.
• Solicit and evaluate competitive bids from Subcontractors and Suppliers
• Initiate Subcontracts and Purchase Orders.
• Review materials and methods for conformance to project specifications.
• Review and Approve Material and Equipment Invoicing.
• Coordinate Project Billings and Cost Adjustments with accounting department.
• Collaborate with Project Director, other Project Managers, and Estimators to develop a project chart of accounts.
• Estimate and bid projects including all self performed disciplines and subcontracted work.  Requires performing quantity take-offs and an understanding of the processes involved in completing projects in an Industrial setting.  (*Knowledge of /experience with Equipment Installations, Steel Erection, and Concrete Construction is required.)
• Ensure client satisfaction through detailed planning, superior communication, and consistent follow through with customers, engineering and project supervision.
• Provide the highest level of professional service by consistently meeting or exceeding the customer’s expectations.
• Expand and maintain business opportunities by building client relationships founded on trust, integrity, and a reputation for performance.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated abilities and knowledge of Industrial Construction and Maintenance Management including

• Experience Managing Construction and/or Industrial Maintenance Projects similar in size and scope to those typically performed at Selinsky FORCE.
• Knowledge of/experience with construction organization, costing, scheduling, and means and methods common to industrial construction.
• Knowledge of/ experience with construction drawings, technical specifications, and other contract documents.
• Should possess a strong knowledge of, and experience with, production equipment installation, steel erection, and concrete construction.
• Should be able to utilize their experience and knowledge (above) in performing both budgetary and lump sum cost estimates.
• Should be familiar with building codes, standards, and practices. 
• Should be familiar with Building Trades Unions rules and practices.
• Should possess superior organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
• Must be able to visualize and address conceptual “design” issues with minimal information available.
• Must be able to multi-task, delegate, and source project resources.
• Must be responsive and responsible to customers’ needs.
• Should possess as least average computer skills.
• MUST have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Must have a demonstrated commitment to professional ethics, standards of excellence, quality and service.
• A degree in Construction, Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering is helpful, but not required.
• Should have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position.
